Aitkin Extranjero

Our past helps explain who and what we are. I was born in Aitkin, a small town in rural Minnesota - my family moved quite a bit when I was young. I joined the Air Force, met my wife (another AF officer) in the Philippines, and we continued to travel the world with our family. After both retiring, we took up teaching, and now again find ourselves abroad - with my wife teaching school in Europe during this Later Gap period of our lives. While we have always had a "home", wherever we might find ourselves, we often find ourselves "Extranjeros" (Spanish for foreigners) in the places we reside - but we also always have our roots from whence we came.
